A Big Thank You

I made these to send back home for some of the people that had done such nice things for us before we moved. I didn't want to post them before I knew that they had arrived. I love the new In Colors, especially Pool Party, and of course the technique used here is one of my favorites, reinker float, though I did modify it just a bit on these flowers. I didn't use the wet of paper to spread the color...just a little on the aqua painters. One of my new favorite stamp sets was used here, Fabulous Florets. I was thrilled to pieces when it showed up in the new catalog! I used the new letterpress plate too on the bottom of the card, which is a little hard to see in the picture. I love that the new catalog has all the layering for the Big Shot with the different dies and embossing folders and plates, which takes all the guessing (or trying to remember) out of layering it together! Love, love, love that! Here's the card:

Ingredients: Stamp Set: Fabulous Florets, A Word for You, Four Frames
Paper: Whisper White, Pool Party, Old Olive, Shimmer White
Ink: White craft (for embossing the flowers), Old Olive, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade
Accessories: White embossing powder, Fancy Fan Letterpress Plate, Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, Aqua Painter, White satin ribbon, dimensionals (of course!) SNAIL adhesive

Just be careful when you mail them that they don't come postage due. One of the friends that I mailed one to had to pay an extra .20 for the card! Sorry Susan!! Hope no one else got stuck with postage! The rest that I've talked to haven't had to pay the extra and I made them all the same, so don't know what was heavier on one card.
All my grand kids are here to visit the new baby for the week. What fun to have 5 little kids together and my daughters. We're going to have a blast!!
Have fun stampin'! Lauri
