The Best of Everything

One of my favorite demonstrators shared some new background techniques at convention that I've been wanting to try. Jan used the new striped embossing folder to make gingham checks! A pretty easy technique to do, you ink the Stripes embossing folder with a brayer (on the side with the Stampin' Up! logo on it) and emboss the white cardstock, then reink the embossing folder again, turn the cardstock 90 degrees, and emboss it again to get the gingham background! Just follow the lines on your folder to get it straight! I LOVE IT! I think I like the gingham even better than just the stripes! My main image came from the front of the new catalog and the Best of Everything stamp set.

Ingredients: Best of Everything stamp set, A Word For You
Paper: Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Whisper White, First Addition Specialty Paper
Ink: Calypso Coral, Peach Parfait, Early Espresso
Accessories: Markers: Lucky Limeade, Soft Suede, Calypso Coral
Big Shot, Stripes Embossing Folder, Brayer, Subtle Brads, Neutral Brads, Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, Eyelet Border Punch

A word to you Grandma's out there...be careful when letting the little ones help crank your Big Shot! Faith was helping me and got her little fingers under the platform! Ouch! She was doing really well up to that point. We were singing "Row, Row, Row your Boat" while she cranked, then she tried to go faster and got her fingers stuck and it didn't work so well! Lots of tears that Grandma had to kiss away!
Have fun stampin'! Remember to keep your fingers out of the way!
