Smile!

I loved this picture of Faith holding Michael for the first time, and couldn't wait to scrap it. It just makes me smile! I also love our catalog and the great ideas it is jam packed with and every year I try to pick out my favorite scrap book page and copy it. This year my choice was the page on page 150 in the Idea Book and Catalog. That page caught my eye the first time I glanced through the catalog and this picture was just perfect for the saying on it. Little Faith's smile lit up the room holding her brother for the first time!
Ingredients: Stamps Parlor Prints, Sweet Floral
Paper: Textured Bashful Blue, Poppy Parade, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, More Mustard, Subtles Pattern DSP
Ink: VersaMark, Old Olive
Accessories: Old Olive, Poppy Parade, Not Quite Navy markers, clear embossing powder, More Mustard scallop dots ribbon, Regals brads, dimensionals, Boho Blossoms punch, Lace Ribbon punch, corner punch, Itty Bitty shapes punch pack, Big Shot, Scallop Square die, Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Sizzlets Dies

Here's a close up of the flowers:
I used the faux suede technique to make them. You crumple the paper (I did it after I punched them), then peel the layers apart and put them together. The adhesive is just in the middle so the petals can be ruffled after the brad is put through the center. It sure adds lots of dimension to them, and speaking of dimension, I added little snips of dimensionals to the smile letters to make them stand out a little.
Notice that great border too that the new lace ribbon border punch makes!
It's been great fun to put together a scrapbook page. It's been a while since I've gotten much scrapping done. How about you? Is it time to dig it all out again? Remember, it's not about being caught up, it's about doing it!
I have another card to share with you later, but have kids stirring around so have to go for now. I'll be back later with another copy from the catalog. Go through yours and pick out your favorite samples! If you need a copy of the catalog, be sure to contact me.
Happy Stampin'!
