Simply Sent

Quick and easy!! I've made two cards in about 15 minutes this morning and the kids are still sleeping! When you need something quick and easy, the simply sent kits from Stampin' Up! fill the bill. They are precut and color coordinated, so it takes all the guess work out of making a card. You can just add a sentiment stamped on the matching tags that are included, or do like I did and jazz it up a bit more. They're beautifully embossed and die cut and ready to send...simply! Then to top it off, Stampin' Up! is running a special on these for the month of October. Just choose two of the Simply Sent kits and get one of the coordinating stamp sets FREE! I love FREE! The envelopes are even included! Here's my version for the day:

 Ingredients: Simply Sent Everyday Elegance
Stamp Set: Everyday Wishes, Faith in Nature (Hostess set)
Paper: Baja Breeze
Ink: Early Espresso, VersaMark, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Sponge Daubers, Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon, Snail adhesive, Dimensionals

Now isn't that simply simple? Love it! And the inside is already done for you, so no need to do anything but add your note and send. Check out the kits on page 192 and 193 of the Idea Book and Catalog. You're going to love easy!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, How lovely are your branches! For some reason after making this card, that song just keeps playing through my head! What a fun and easy card to do. You'll be able to whip out a batch of these for your holiday card giving in no time at all! This was another idea shared by my "design team" (a fellow demonstrator) on our Stampin' Up! web site! I just love our team!
Ingredients: Stamp sets: Pennant Parade, Tiny Tags, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Old Olive, Whisper White, Early Espresso, Regals Patterns DSP stack
Ink: Old Olive, Early Espresso, More Mustard, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Mat Pack, Paper Piercing tool, Cherry Cobbler Marker, Organza Ribbon, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Snail Adhesive, Linen Thread, Large Tag Punch, Extra Large Tag Punch, Dimensionals, Petite Pennants Builder Punch, Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Snow Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Dazzling Details

Just look at all the dimension on those branches!
The tree was stamped with the Pennant Parade stamp, then punched with the Petite Pennants Builder punch. I then scored down the middle with the new Simply Scored Scoring Tool, then glued three of them together with the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to give them a good hold. The branches can be laid flat to mail. I love how the Snow Burst textured folder shows the white of the paper core underneath to give it a white snow look and the little tag adds that special greeting to friends and family. And of course, you can't forget the inside!
It's hard to see in the photos, but I added a touch of Dazzling Details, the new iridescent glitter glue from the Holiday Mini catalog that adds that little touch of dazzle to the top of the star. Just a little sparkle without the mess of glitter everywhere. I love, love, love it!! It feels so good to be making a pile of Christmas cards and it's only October! This must be a new record for me! Hope you are all getting in some stamping time and enjoying the beautiful Fall!
Happy Stampin'!
