I must have jinxed us on the snow comment. I opened the curtains this morning and looked out and it's SNOWING! How's that to put me in the Christmas mood? So pretty looking out, but I'm sure glad I don't have to get out in it today! Brrrr! Faith so wants to go out and play, so we'll probably do that if it's not all melted when she gets up from her nap. I didn't bring too many warm clothes with me from SD. They're still all packed away in the boxes to move once the house is sold. I was hoping I wouldn't need them for a while here! HA! HA! Guess we all know I was wrong on that one!
Here's the second card that we will be making tomorrow for the Christmas card class. I love the message of it and the simplicity! After all, isn't that how Christ came...a little baby? Love it!
The color is the Concord Crush and I again used the Shimmery White paper to give it some sparkle. The wisemen image is embossed with white embossing powder, then sponged with the Concord Crush. So pretty in real life! The jewel adds just a little sparkle to the star.
Ingredients: Stamps: Come to Bethlehem, The Sounding Joy
Paper: Shimmery White, Concord Crush
Ink: Concord Crush, VersaMark
Accessories:White embossing powder, Heat Tool, Jewels, Stamp-a-ma-jig, sponge daubers, Petals a Plenty embossing folder, Top Note Die, Snail adhesive, dimensionals
I added just a strip of the Concord Crush to the inside that I embossed and stamped the verse from the Come to Bethlehem set. A simple and easy card to duplicate for that long Christmas card list.
Enjoy your day...playing in the snow and stamping. Who could ask for more?
Lauri
