Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! I've so many blessings to count and thank God for, and  among those blessings are you, .my stampin' friends! Thank you for being part of my life and joining me here on my blog to stamp along with me. Thank you for encouragement and kind words. I sure miss stamping in person with you, but so thankful that we can do it "together" here! Blessings to all of you on this day set aside to thank the Lord for all that He has given. Enjoy your day, your turkey, your family and friends!

Work, Work, Work!

Work, work, and more work, leaves little time for playing! As a new teacher this year, I'm spending a lot of time coming up with new ideas and ways to share ideas with kids. I'm loving every minute of it, but it leaves little time for stamping! I have done several classes and have done a little bit of stamping, but not near enough! My fingers are itching to get back at it! Here's a couple of samples of things that I've gotten done...   This one is masked, shaded and then unmasked and stamped with the leaves. Simple design, but fun to do and makes a great guy card...which as you know, can be hard to come up with! I made these with my scrapbook group on Wednesday night, and they loved them! I stamped a leaf in the corner, and then one on the outside of the envelope too. This one I've done before, but just love the design and the technique! To get this neat look, add color to the stamp with the marker first, then spray the watercolor paper with water

Punchy Scarecrow

Seems like I've been working on these forever! The poor mess I've had on Katie and Dickson's table! They're so patient with me! Lots and lots of punches and putting pieces together, then lots of help and interruptions, but so worth the effort! They are just so cute!! I also put together a punch page for the book I started with 6x6 pages so I can remember how I put them all together. The original scarecrow was done by another demonstrator, Doris Denman, and she's got some really fun punch art, but be warned, it's not for a quick card! Pumpkin Lollipops

What fun Faith and I had yesterday making these easy little pumpkin lollipops! No stamping involved, just cut, punch and decorate! An easy craft to do with your kids and grand kids. Faith had so much fun naming them as we went. Can you see which ones look like Grandpa? Grandma? (that's me!) or her Mommy or Daddy?? Michael? Gabe? Lily? Collin? Ingredients: Paper Pumpkin Pie Ink: Cajun Craze, Riding Hood Red Accessories: Large Oval Punch, Black Marker, White Pen, Sponge Daubers, Old Olive Ribbon, Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, Glue Dots, Lollipops The Pumpkin Pie paper is cut 5 1/4" by 1 1/2", scored at 1 7/8" and 3 3/8" All the ovals were sponged with Cajun Craze, the face drawn on with markers and the white pen, the cheeks added with the Riding Hood Red and a Q-tip.
