Gift Card Card
What is easier than sending a gift card for gifts, especially when it's to someone that's hard to buy for? The card today is one of the best gift card holders that I've ever made and wraps up into a card all in one. Our son, Aaron's birthday is tomorrow, so happy birthday, Aaron! I also made one for a baby gift card that I'm a little late in getting sent. The baby was born in July, not too long after Michael. Welcome to the world, little one! This design can be used for any occasion, all you have to do is switch around the colors and designs. So without further delay, here's the first picture...
This is the front view, with the card closed. The jumbo brad at the bottom right, holds the gift card holder closed. Can you see the top note die in there?? That's what's so neat about this card, the top note is the gift card holder and when you open the card, the gift card pops up in the middle. Here's a view with the card opening...
And then all the way open...
It folds out with the gift card popping up in the center with a place to write a little note on the right side. I added birthday wishes on the left side too.
Ingredients: Stamp Sets: Sail Away, Happiest Birthday Wishes (Hostess set)
Paper: Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy, Cherry Cobbler, DSP Nautical Expedition, Whisper White, Water Color Paper
Ink: Stazon Black, Cherry Cobbler, Chocolate Chip, Pool Party, Island Indigo, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Baker's Twine, Jumbo brads, Big Shot, Top Note Die, Scallop Circle Punch, Sponges, Aqua Painter, Sticky Strip, Snail Adhesive, Dimensionals
Now here's a picture of the baby card....
Look at the Baby Booties! They were made with the new Stitched Stockings set in the Holiday mini catalog going live today! I just made the stockings a little shorter, cut out and added the cuff as an extra piece, with the little piece of yarn to tie them all together. This card is closed with a ribbon run behind the top note before it's sticky stripped to the card base. I had a hard time getting the colors to come out with my camera. The pinks look much more pink IRL and so little girly! I love the new Scallop Dots Ribbon that ties it all together! Here's a picture for you from the inside...
Isn't it sweet?? Again it has a little place for a note and then decorated on the left side to jazz it up a bit. I will be offering a class in October to make these for the holidays. I'll let you know for the sure the dates as we get closer.
We're heading out for SD later today, so I'll be MIA for a few days! Hope to see those of you in SD when I get there! I just wish the drive wasn't so long. That's one thing about this that I'm not looking forward to...or maybe I should say two things...the trip back too! Until then...
Happy Stampin'!
Lauri
